Perpendicular pipe flow into a channel at different inflow speeds

Short description and remarks

Short description and remarks

Perpendicular pipe flow from below into a channel at different Reynolds numbers (in each row from left=low to middle=medium up to right=high). The inflow through the lower pipe has always speed 1. The resulting flow ranges from symmetric and steady, to still symmetric but nonsteady up to fully nonsymmetric and nonsteady. The corresponding coarse mesh is plotted in the following diagram.

For a detailed description of the performed flow configurations look at the corresponding pages in the `Virtual Album'.
