Short description and remarks


The perpendicular lower pipe flow into the channel at high Reynolds number. The inflow through the lower pipe has speed 1. The structure of the flow is highly time-dependent. For small times (during the startup) the resulting flow is symmetric. However, it becomes nonsymmetric with time. This simulation has to be compared with the similar ones in the Album, including lower Reynolds number.

    Visualization via tracing of concentration, starting from the lower inlet (first and second, different color maps, 1.7 MB and 2.7 MB, third as a zoom, 1.7 MB).
